For technology users the primary service GCIO provides is in the form of free IT operation environmental impact audits / assessments.  These services provide a non-intrusive overview of existing environmental / energy efficiency issues to serve as a planning tool for change and for measuring the future success of green migrations..

Following the audit process GCIO posts blind Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on behalf of the user organization for response by member vendors.  This process helps users in identifying key vendor allies as well as provides an opportunity for competitive bids. Please note, GCIO does NOT recommend, endorse or specify any particular vendor products or strategies. What we do provide is the information that will help companies to select the strategy and products of their choosing and act as the middleman to connect users with prospective solutions.
