  GCIO hosted the 'Creating a Corporate Green Policy' workshop at Mass Power Shift 2008. In this workshop, participants worked together to identify areas that should be covered in a Corporate Green Policy and discovered proven methods for ensuring adherence to Green practices.

Next Generation Data Center (NGDC), August 4-7, San Francisco, CA. Next Generation Data Center focuses on recognizing the strategic importance of the data center to make companies more nimble and competitive. NGDC focuses on new technologies and their impact on the data center, covering mission-critical applications and all the technology that supports and integrates them, including storage, servers, networking and communications. Green Computing Think Tank 2008, November 7th, Boston, MA.  The Green Computing Policy Think Tank provides a unique, close-to-home opportunity for vendors and users to work together on the creation of a strong environmentally friendly computing policy for change. It is not a traditional industry "conference" but rather a highly focused one day intensive set of workshops resulting in a firm deliverable for the attendees: a complete working Green Computing Policy.  The focus group style workshop format provides sponsors with the invaluable experience of working side by side with Green Computing decision makers and learning first hand about their challenges, opportunities and questions. http://gcio.org/thinktank.html

OMG Technical Meeting, September 22-26, Orlando, FL. GCIO will be hosting a discussion on the Green Computing Maturing Model (GCMM). The OMG hosts four Technical Meetings approximately every ten to twelve weeks per year in various locations around the world. At these meetings, technical experts from member companies and organizations meet to discuss OMG technologies and work on new specifications. OMG Technical Meeting Information

The Sustainability Summit 2009, May 27-28, 2009, Santa Clara, CA. GCIO is proud to be both a sponsor and a speaker at the Sustainability Summit ’09.
